What we build
Custom Balloon Arches for Every Houston Event
A balloon arch is the fastest way to turn an ordinary room, doorway or backyard into the place everyone wants a photo.
A balloon arch is a curved run of balloons built on a frame or anchored at both ends, so it frames something: an entrance, a dessert table, a stage, a couple, a graduate. It does what flowers and draping do for a fraction of the cost, and it reads from across a room, in photos and on video.
Every arch we build starts with your event, not a catalog photo. We match your colors, size the arch to the space you actually have, and pick the balloon mix (small 5-inch fillers, standard 11-inch, big 18- and 24-inch statement balloons, chrome, pearl or foil accents) that gives it the shape you want. Then we deliver it, build it on-site and take it down when you're done.
We build balloon arch decorations for birthday parties, baby showers, gender reveals, weddings and bridal showers, graduations, quinceañeras, corporate events and grand openings. If it's a celebration with a doorway, a table or a photo spot, an arch fits.
Arch styles
Balloon Arch Styles We Build
The style decides the whole look. Here's every arch shape we build, and what each one does best.
Organic balloon arches
An organic balloon arch mixes balloon sizes in loose, natural clusters instead of a repeating pattern, so the arch looks full, airy and a little wild. It's the style behind most of the arches you save on Pinterest and Instagram. Organic arches photograph beautifully, take flowers and greenery well, and suit weddings, showers and milestone birthdays. They use more balloons per foot than a classic arch, so they cost a bit more.
Classic and spiral balloon arches
A classic arch is built from uniform clusters of four balloons stacked tightly along a frame. Alternate the colors and you get a clean spiral: two, three or four colors wrapping around the arch like a candy cane. Classic arches are crisp, sturdy and very good at school colors, team colors and brand colors, which is why graduations, sports banquets and corporate events still lean on them.
Round, circle and hoop arches
A balloon arch circle (also called a round arch, ring or hoop) wraps balloons around part or all of a circular frame. Full circles frame a person for photos; half-circle and crescent garlands sit on one side of the ring and leave the center open for a neon sign or a name. Round arches are the go-to for photo backdrops, proposals and sweet 16s.
Square and backdrop arches
A square arch balloon setup runs balloons up and over a rectangular frame, usually around a backdrop panel, shimmer wall or flower wall. It gives you a full stage for the cake table and a defined edge for photos. If you want the arch and backdrop as one design, see our balloon backdrops.
Half and asymmetrical arches
A half balloon arch (sometimes called a demi or swoop) climbs one side of a doorway, backdrop or table and stops partway over. It's the modern, designer look: lots of impact with fewer balloons, so it's also a smart way to stretch a budget.
Double arches
A double balloon arch layers two arches, one in front of the other or one inside the other, for depth. Use it at a wedding ceremony, a stage entrance or a grand opening where a single arch would get lost in a big space.
Mini and tabletop arches
A balloon arch for a table is a small arch, usually 4 to 6 feet across, that frames a cake table, dessert table, gift table or sweetheart table. Small balloon arches and table top balloon arches are perfect for apartments, restaurant private rooms and baby showers where floor space is tight.
Entrance and doorway arches
A balloon arch entrance tells guests where the party is before they walk in. We build arches over front doors, garage doors, porch steps, venue doors and store entrances. For storefronts, outdoor arches are weighted and built to handle Houston wind. Pair one with balloon columns on each side for a full entrance.
Large and giant balloon arches
A large balloon arch (16 feet and up) spans a double doorway, a stage or a driveway. Giant arches for grand openings, school events and festivals can run 25 to 40 feet with 24- and 36-inch balloons. Anything that big becomes a custom balloon installation and is planned around the site.
Balloon arches with flowers and greenery
A floral balloon arch tucks silk or fresh flowers, eucalyptus, pampas or greenery into the balloon clusters. It's the softest, most wedding-ready version of an arch, and it's popular for bridal showers, baptisms and Mother's Day brunches.

Sizing
Balloon Arch Sizes: How Big Should Your Arch Be?
Measure the space first. A balloon arch that's too small looks lost in photos, and one that's too big blocks the doorway.
| Arch size | Best for | Approx. balloons |
|---|---|---|
| 4–6 ft tabletop or mini arch | Cake, dessert and gift tables | 60–110 organic |
| 6.5–7 ft frame arch | Photo spots, single doorways, small backdrops | 90–130 organic |
| 10–12 ft arch | Front doors, porch steps, 8 ft backdrops | 150–220 organic or 60–75 classic |
| 16–20 ft arch | Double doors, stages, 10 ft backdrops | 240–360 organic or 100–130 classic |
| 25 ft and up | Grand openings, gyms, outdoor entrances | Planned per site |
Arch size is measured along the curve, not across the floor. A 16–20 ft arch typically stands 8–9 ft tall and about 8–10 ft wide. Balloon counts vary with balloon size and how full the design is.
How many balloons for a balloon arch? A classic arch built from 11-inch balloons uses roughly 5–6 balloons per foot. An organic arch uses roughly 12–18 balloons per foot because it layers 5-, 11- and 18-inch balloons. So a 6 ft arch needs about 70–110 balloons in organic style, and a 20 ft arch needs about 240–360. Fifty balloons is enough for a small tabletop or half arch, not a full doorway arch.
Pricing
How Much Does a Balloon Arch Cost in Houston?
Most of our full-size balloon arches land between $200 and $500. Here's where pricing starts and what moves it.
| Arch | Starting at |
|---|---|
| Tabletop or mini arch (4–6 ft) | $175 |
| Frame arch with garland (6.5–7 ft) | $199 |
| Doorway arch (10–12 ft) | $275 |
| Themed welcome arch with foil accents | $300 |
| Full balloon arch (16–20 ft) | $380 |
| Double, giant and 25 ft+ arches | Custom quote |
Prices include delivery, setup and pickup in our core Houston service area. Longer drives (45+ miles) add a travel fee starting at $50.
What changes the price of a balloon arch:
- Length and fullness. More feet and denser clusters mean more balloons and more build time.
- Style. Organic arches use more balloons per foot than classic or spiral arches.
- Balloon mix. Chrome, pearl, double-stuffed (one balloon inside another for custom shades) and large 18–36 inch balloons cost more than standard latex.
- Add-ons. Flowers, greenery, foil shapes, custom vinyl names, neon signs, marquee letters and backdrop panels.
- Frame or freestanding. A rented frame or stand is included in many quotes; hanging the arch from venue structure takes more labor.
- Delivery distance and timing. Houston is big. A Katy-to-Kingwood drive, an early-morning install or a tight ballroom load-in window all factor in.
- Teardown. Pickup after the event can be included or skipped if you'd rather keep the balloons.
Want an exact number? Tell us the date, venue, size and colors, and we'll send a written quote. For every service in one place, see the garland, column and backdrop pages; each one lists its own starting prices.

Colors and themes
Popular Balloon Arch Colors and Themes
Bring a photo, a party invitation or just a color, and we'll build the palette from there.
The color palettes we're asked for most
- Black and gold. The milestone-birthday and New Year's Eve classic.
- Pink and gold, blush and white, white and gold. Showers, bridal events and first birthdays.
- Pastel and rainbow. Kids' parties, Easter and anything that should feel happy and bright.
- Red, white and blue. The 4th of July, military homecomings and patriotic events.
- Sage, dusty blue, terracotta and earth tones. The boho look for showers and weddings.
- School and team colors. Graduations, senior nights and watch parties in Astros navy and orange or Texans red and blue.
- Red and gold. Lunar New Year and Diwali celebrations.
Themes
Character arches use licensed foil balloons for the characters and latex in matching colors for the arch: Bluey, Minnie and Mickey, Spider-Man, Paw Patrol, Toy Story, Hello Kitty, Pokémon and Winnie the Pooh are the most requested. Other favorites are dinosaurs, mermaids and under the sea, the hungry caterpillar, "we can bearly wait" teddy bears for baby showers, and rodeo and western themes during Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo season.
Your options
Balloon Arch Rental, Full Installation or a DIY Kit?
There are a few ways to get a balloon arch into your party. Here's how they compare.
| Option | What you get | Best when |
|---|---|---|
| Full installation | We design, deliver, build on-site and pick up after | You want it perfect and don't want to spend party morning on a ladder |
| Balloon arch rental | A frame arch delivered ready-made, then collected | Smaller arches, photo spots, simple setups |
| Grab-and-go garland | A finished garland you pick up and hang yourself | Short garlands for a table or wall, tight budgets |
| DIY balloon arch kit | A bag of balloons, tape strip and glue dots | Small arches, extra time and a patient helper |
Is a balloon arch easy to make? A small kit arch is doable for a first-timer with a pump and a free afternoon. A full organic arch is not: professionals take one to three hours on-site, and first-timers often spend four to eight hours, plus a second trip for more balloons. Balloons also pop, sag and oxidize when they're inflated too early or with the wrong pump. If the arch is the centerpiece of the day, it's usually worth having it built for you.
Houston weather
Outdoor Balloon Arches in Houston Heat, Sun and Wind
Yes, a balloon arch can go outside. In Houston it just needs a plan.
Latex balloons don't love Texas weather. Summer highs here sit in the mid-90s with heavy humidity, and direct sun does three things to an arch: heat expands the air inside until balloons pop, UV light oxidizes latex so it turns cloudy and matte within hours, and dark colors like black and navy absorb the most heat. Hurricane season (June through November) adds wind and pop-up storms.
- Shade wins. Put outdoor arches under a covered patio, porch, tent or the shady side of the house whenever you can.
- Install as late as practical. For summer afternoon parties, we schedule the build close to start time instead of first thing in the morning.
- Air, not helium. Outdoor arches are air-filled on a frame. Helium balloons outside in heat don't last long.
- Lighter colors outdoors. Pastels, whites and metallics hold up better than black and deep navy in full sun.
- Weight it down. Outdoor arches get weighted bases and ties so a gust off the Gulf doesn't take them for a walk.
- Have a rain plan. Light rain is fine for latex. Lightning and high wind mean moving the arch inside or under cover.
Longevity
How Long Does a Balloon Arch Last?
Indoors and air-filled, a balloon arch lasts several days. Outside in a Houston summer, plan for the length of the party.
| Setup | Typical life |
|---|---|
| Air-filled, indoors, air-conditioned | Several days, often a week or more |
| Air-filled, outdoors in shade (spring and fall) | A full day, often into the next |
| Air-filled, outdoors in direct summer sun | A few hours before oxidizing and popping |
| Helium arch or helium bouquets | Hours, unless treated to float longer |
Will my balloon arch last 4 days? Indoors and air-filled, yes. That's why a night-before setup works well for morning events, and why arches for multi-day events stay inside. Can you set up a balloon arch the night before? Indoors, absolutely. Outdoors in summer, it's better to build the same day.

Questions
Balloon Arches in Houston: FAQ
How much is a balloon arch?
Our balloon arches start at $175 for a tabletop arch, $199 for a 6.5–7 ft frame arch and $380 for a full 16–20 ft arch, delivered and installed. Size, style, balloon count, add-ons and delivery distance set the final price.
How long do balloon arches last?
An air-filled balloon arch lasts several days indoors, often a week or more in air conditioning. Outdoors in shade it lasts about a day, and in direct Houston summer sun it lasts a few hours. Helium arches only last hours unless treated.
How many balloons do you need for a balloon arch?
Roughly 12–18 balloons per foot for an organic arch and 5–6 per foot for a classic arch. A 6 ft arch takes about 70–110 balloons; a 20 ft arch takes about 240–360 in organic style.
What's the difference between a balloon arch and a balloon garland?
A balloon arch stands on its own frame or anchors and curves over something. A balloon garland is the flexible strand of balloons itself, which can be shaped into an arch or hung along a wall, mantel, table or doorway. Every organic arch is a garland on a frame, but not every garland is an arch.
Do balloon arches use helium?
Most don't. Balloon arches are air-filled and held up by a frame, which makes them last longer and cost less. Helium is used for floating arches and bouquets, which only last hours to a day.
Can you put a balloon arch outside in Houston?
Yes. Outdoor arches are air-filled, weighted and best placed in shade. Direct summer sun and heat will pop and fade balloons within hours, so outdoor summer arches are built close to party time.
How far in advance should I book a balloon arch?
Two to four weeks ahead is ideal. Book earlier for May and June graduations, Halloween and December weekends, and wedding-season Saturdays. Ask about short-notice dates too.
Can you set up a balloon arch the night before?
Indoors, yes. An air-filled arch built the night before will look the same the next day. Outdoor arches should be built the day of the event.
Do you deliver and set up the arch?
Yes. Full-service arches are delivered, built on-site and picked up after the event. Ready-made frame arches and grab-and-go garlands are also available if you'd rather set up yourself.
Are balloon arches still in style?
Yes. Organic arches, half arches and arches paired with backdrops and florals are the current look for showers, weddings, birthdays and corporate events. The dense, uniform spiral arch is the older style, though it's still a favorite for school and team colors.
What if a guest has a latex allergy?
Ask for a latex-free design. Arches, walls and backdrops can be built from foil balloons instead of latex, and many hospitals, schools and offices require foil only.
Do you tip a balloon arch decorator?
It's optional. Many hosts tip the install crew 10–15% for a big or early-morning install, or leave a review instead.
